§         Extensively involved in 9-month evaluation process. Did extensive research into the TCO of current PeopleSoft 7.5 installation (licensing, support, and enhancement). Involved in all executive-level evaluation sessions (directors, comptroller, treasurer, CFO, Strategic Planning).

§         Fully engaged in twice-daily conference calls with Bangalore, India-based coding team.  Coordinated AP coding, testing and conversion with offshore developers, on-site consultants and Michaels testers and users.

§         Worked with Oracle Consulting to create the technical design and architecture documentation for the project.  Design includes networking, load balancing, and instance planning during conversion and at go-live.

§         Teamed with user functional leads and Oracle Consulting business analysts to convert 7 years of purchasing data, sales audit data, and fixed asset data from legacy PeopleSoft system.

§         Coordinated a parallel, IT-wide Identity Management and customer-data security initiative with the ongoing Oracle Financials implementation.

PeopleSoft 7.5 Support and Enhancement

§         Successfully implemented a major GL and AP data archive effort (2 years of data/40 million journal and ledger rows).  Pared GL data down by half.  Net result was improved performance in online response time and a nightly batch runtime reduction of 2 hours.  Was awarded “Employee of the Month, July 2002” due to success of this project.

§         Successfully converted legacy Software 2000 financial data into PeopleSoft.  Created reports and panels for Tax group to use for IRS audits.  This allowed decommissioning a legacy AS/400 system, saving $10,000 per month in maintenance costs.

§         Lead technical person for movement of 1-terabyte Financials database from IBM SSA and Shark storage to EMC array.  Coordinated with technical team, users, DBA and EMC project lead on timelines and responsibilities.

§         Led the effort to scrub all inbound interface data and electronically alert users to error conditions. Eliminated 10 - 15 calls per month for bad EDI and XML data. With only a maximum 3 hour buffer in the nightly cycle, this has lessened risk of impacting system availability in the morning.

§         Coordinated efforts with DBAs, technical team members and users to tune custom and delivered processes (includes voucher edit, journal edit and post, custom 3-way matching).  Team effort resulted in reducing nightly batch from 9 hours to 4 hours.
