Emma Marie had a bad marriage in Germany that produced one son. She divorced, was sent money to come to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Marie later returned to Germany and lived by her sister Paulina.

Bertha
Morf came to the USA at age 11 accompanied by her mother,
preceded by her sister Anna. Bertha
Holderer's death certificate lists the cause of death as carcinoma of
breast. She was buried in Holy Sepulchre
cemetery on 6 October 1945.
August Holderer learned the blacksmith trade and opened a shop (see photos). August Holderer's death certificate says he had been in the US 50 years at the time of his death in 1936, thus he first came to the US around 1886. The death certificate says he worked as a blacksmith until January 1925. Cause of death is listed as coronary occlusion with contributory causes of carcinoma of stomach and other heart disease. He was buried in Holy Sepulchre cemetery in Rochester, NY on 29 January 1936. Bertha and Anna had a brother, Amiel who married a woman named Sophie. They had 5 children: 2 girls and 3 boys. Another brother, name unknown, went to Australia.
Apollonia worked at N.B. Schantz as a secretary to Lawrence Glaser. They married at St. Michaels Church, Rochester, NY, in 1911. They had two sons, Robert born 1919 and Richard born 1922. Lawrence Glaser was born in 1879 and died in 1971. Emma married Joseph Agram in 1913. Joseph worked as an automobile salesman at Whiting Buick for 32 years. Harry worked at the Canada Dry factory in Rochester, NY. He was a sailor in World War 1, crossing the Atlantic Ocean 22 times. August Holderer's death certificate shows him as having worked in production at the Topper (Genesee) Brewery, Rochester, NY. He died of complications due to colon cancer. He was buried at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester, NY on 3 March 1987. |
